A 7N/8D self-drive expedition to the land of peace and zen exploring Spiti valley, the world capital of monastic way of life. Spiti has been described as ‘a world within a world,’ ‘a place where the gods live’ – something that holds true to the present day. For centuries, Spiti has had an introversive culture where life remained focused around its monasteries. Get on a winding road leading to the highest motorable village of Komic or a narrow trail in the rugged terrain well-accompanied by stunning landscapes on all sides, and experience the untamed land of solitude and spiritualism first-hand.

Day 1 : Assemble at Shoghi & Overnight Stay at Shoghi
Shoghi - Shoghi is a tiny piece of paradise few kilometres short of Shimla. Aamod at Shoghi is a beautiful cottage resort built on a gentle hill slope, under a thick cover of oak and pine trees. Stay the night in the wooden cottages and get familiar with the hospitality of Aamod Resorts.
Day 2 : Drive From Shoghi to Narkanda
Narkanda at a height of 8,100 feet is around 440 kms away from Delhi and is a two hours drive from Shimla. Narkanda is famous for its snow skis, Hatu peak, abundant nature and much more. We will be staying at the colonial style built Tethys Himalayas perched amidst a thick cover of forest and apple orchards. Located in the midst of the apple belt of Himachal, 65 Kms beyond Shimla on NH 22, en-route to the Sangla valley (Kinnaur), this Narkanda resort offers a fairy-tale setting of nature and views of Himalayas.
Day 3 : Drive From Narkanda to Sangla Valley
This day we drive our way to Sangla Valley, which is a part of Kinnaur and inhabited by Kinnauris. The main livelihood is agriculture while apples are a major cash crop here. The old Indo-Tibet road connects Sangla to NH5 (National Highway 5) at Karcham. Sangla Valley is a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of the swarming cities. Bounded by strapping mountain slopes, sprawling evergreen forests and snow covered peaks, the valley is set apart from others by its red apple orchards and luscious cherry trees. Famouse for Trout fishing, Baspa river also makes its way through the valley. We will be staying the night at our campsite at Sangla valley.
Day 4 : Drive From Sangla Valley to Sichling (Spiti)
You will be travelling from one of the most beautiful valleys of Himalayas, Sangla valley also known as Baspa valley because of river Baspa towards Sichling; a beautiful town in Lahaul and Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh surrounded by high mountains, crystal clear river, green landscapes and meadows.
The beautiful drive transports you to a different world altogether with hardly any people, just your fellow vehicles and mammoth mountains to keep you company.
We will be staying the night at our campsite at Sichling.
Day 5 : Explore Spiti Valley - Sichling
This is an important day of the expedition where we will be exploring Spiti valley. One can travel up towards the renowned Kibber, Langza and Komic villages or learn a few things about the tribal and monastic way of life. This region still has a number of tribal villages away from the hustle of city life and one can spend time covering the monasteries such as Tabo monastry, dhankar monastry, kungri monaatry in pin valley, key monastery among many others some of which are centuries old.
Day 6 : Drive From Kaza to ChandraTal
In the serene surroundings of the towering snow-covered peaks and green pastures lies the breathtakingly beautiful Chandra Tal. It is located at an altitude of about 4300 metres in Spiti valley. You will drive through the magnificent route from Kaza to Kunzum Pass, and thereafter, to the lake. We will be staying the night at our Camping site at Chandratal.
Day 7 : Drive From ChandraTal to Manali
Testing your off-roading skills, you will cross Rohtang Pass and enter Manali. Manali is a little heaven one should visit at least once in a lifetime. This is one such destination that offers religious tourism, adventure tourism, wildlife tourism in just one trip and that is what makes it a clear travellers’ paradise. We will be staying the night at our resort at Manali.
Day 8 : Manali
This day, we bid good bye to the majestic mountains and our new friends for all good things must come to an end.

- Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control like political disturbances, natural phenomenon, etc.
- Tips to driver, guide, hotel staff & representative.
- Any portages at hotel (for baggage on arrival and departure from the hotel)
- Camera/video camera fee at monuments
- 18% GST
- Any damage/ change of spares of vehicles during tour would be payable by guest directly.
- Guest has to bring his own vehicle & fuel cost to be borne by guest.

* 0 - 30 days before departure: 100% of total cost
* 30 - 60 days before departure: 50% of total cost
If we change or cancel your holiday
We do plan the arrangements in advance. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time due to unavoidable local circumstances. If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date.

20 Days before date of departure: 50% of total cost.
Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received less than 20 days before date of departure.
